Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in West Covina, CA, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver exceptional service, maintain store standards, and care for live animals. This entry-level role offers flexibility, weekly pay, and paths to advancement in a fun, pet-loving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and recover sales floor to standards.
- Handle emergencies like sick pets, ensuring safe transport to vets.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include standing, stooping, and exposure to pets, noise, and wet areas. Reasonable accommodations available.
