Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Westover, West Virginia, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers flexible hours, perfect for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with hands-on pet interaction and customer service focus.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
• Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administering vet-directed medications.
• Maintain store cleanliness, execute price changes, stock shelves, and recover merchandise to standards.
• Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, handle physical demands (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, climbing), and embrace flexibility. Exposure to live animals, moderate noise, and wet environments is common.
