Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers flexible hours, evenings/weekends/holidays, and hands-on pet interaction in a dynamic retail setting.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand/walk extensively, lift 50 lbs frequently (team lift 100+ lbs), climb ladders, handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair exposure. Depth perception required; accommodations available.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences across channels; care for birds, reptiles, fish, and small animals; uphold cleanliness and safety standards; drive sales through recommendations; promote events; assist in services as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. Ideal candidates have strong communication, flexibility, composure under pressure, and love for pets. Physical stamina essential for stocking, cleaning, and pet handling.
