Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Winnipeg, Manitoba, you'll engage pet parents and pets, uphold our vision, and share store maintenance and pet care duties. Enjoy flexibility while delivering exceptional service in a fun, pet-filled environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent experience in-person, phone, register, and online; greet and answer questions.
- Prepare online orders and ensure smooth pick-ups.
- Provide pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish); administer vet-directed meds.
- Maintain cleanliness, support pricing changes, stage/stock products, face/fill shelves.
- Recommend/sell merchandise, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, parents; handle sick pets and transport to vet if needed.
- Assist across store areas and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physical demands: stand/walk/climb, lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair.
