Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility and impact in a fun, pet-loving atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and prepare online orders.
- Promote merchandise, services, live pets, events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to pet health issues.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. Must have strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physical demands: lift 50 lbs, stand/walk extensively, handle animals in moderate-noise, pet-hair environment.
