Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Woburn, MA, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, deliver positive experiences, and uphold our vision. Share in store maintenance, pet safety, and direct pet care while working flexibly evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), handle animals in a dynamic environment with moderate noise and pet hair exposure. Reasonable accommodations available.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), administer vet-directed meds.
- Maintain cleanliness, face/fill products, stage merchandise, support pricing/promos.
- Sell merchandise/services/live pets, promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, parents; respond to sick/injured pets immediately.
Experience & Skills
Entry-level role welcoming pet lovers. Need strong communication, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility. Pet care experience a plus, but training provided.
