Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Woodbridge, New Jersey, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver positive experiences, and uphold our vision. Share in store maintenance, pet safety, and direct pet care while supporting sales and operations in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online; greet, answer questions, prepare pickups.
- Provide pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish); administer meds as directed.
- Maintain cleanliness, face/fill products, stage merchandise, handle price changes/promotions.
- Sell merchandise/services/live pets, promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates/pets/customers; respond to sick pets, transport to vet if needed.
Experience & Skills
Entry-level role welcoming pet lovers. Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physical demands: stand/walk/lift 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), handle animals, work in wet/noisy environments with pet hair. No prior experience required—passion for pets is key.
