Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents and their pets while upholding our vision of exceptional care. Share responsibility for store cleanliness, pet safety, and direct pet care. Enjoy flexibility in a dynamic retail environment where every day brings new opportunities to make moments that matter.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online; greet customers and prepare pick-up orders.
• Provide pet healthcare for store-owned animals: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and administer vet-directed medications.
• Maintain store standards: face/fill products, stage merchandise, support price changes, and ensure cleanliness.
• Recommend and sell merchandise, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick/injured pets and assist across store areas.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required – pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical capability to stand, lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment.
