Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Woodstock store, you'll deliver outstanding customer experiences, care for live pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role is perfect for animal lovers with retail enthusiasm, offering variety from customer interactions to pet habitat maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
• Provide hands-on care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and vet-directed medications.
• Execute merchandising tasks like stocking, facing products, price changes, and sales floor recovery.
• Promote products, services, live pets, and events like adoption weekends and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets including vet transport.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive in fast-paced settings, handle pressure calmly, and work flexible schedules (evenings, weekends, holidays). Physical demands include lifting 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), standing, climbing, and animal exposure in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment. Reasonable accommodations available.
