Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Yonkers, NY, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver positive experiences, and uphold our vision. Share in store maintenance, pet safety, and direct pet care. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is key in this dynamic retail environment.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), handle animals in moderate noise with pet hair exposure. Depth perception required; accommodations available.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, etc.), administer vet-directed meds.
- Maintain cleanliness, face/fill products, stage merchandise, support pricing/promos.
- Sell merchandise/services/live pets, promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, parents; respond to sick pets and transport to vet.
Experience & Skills
Entry-level welcome! Need strong communication, composure under pressure, pet passion, and physical stamina. No prior experience required—we train you to succeed.
