Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. Drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; facilitate reviews, recognition, and succession planning; address grievances and boost engagement.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, maintain standards, conduct monthly walks, monitor cameras, manage inventory, and prioritize safety.
- Operational Excellence: Collaborate on events, evaluate processes, communicate objectives, and respond to business changes.
Experience & Skills
Seeking proven leaders with retail management experience, strong people skills, and passion for pets. Key skills include team building, customer service, operational execution, financial oversight, and compliance. Experience in pet retail is ideal; ability to delegate, empower teams, and drive results essential.
