Role Overview

The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while driving exceptional service and efficient daily execution.

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture.
• Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; manage pet parent interactions; conduct safety walks; maintain compliance with policies; oversee inventory and store standards.
• Business Management: Deliver profitability goals; analyze performance; execute corporate strategies; review cameras for safety; partner on community events.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and motivation, expertise in customer service, operational efficiency, and financial oversight. Passion for pets, problem-solving, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment are essential. Experience with pet care safety and community engagement is a plus.
