Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion service excellence, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for pets, associates, and customers; manage complaints, conduct safety walks, and oversee inventory.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze performance, communicate objectives, and partner on events like adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership, customer focus, and operational expertise. Pet care passion, financial acumen, and ability to empower teams are essential. Flexible availability for days, nights, and weekends required.
