Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial outcomes, and all HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, interview, hire, coach, and terminate; build open-door culture; manage scheduling, reviews, training, and succession planning; recognize achievements.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy pets and exceptional pet parent service; resolve concerns; maintain standards via monthly walks; manage inventory and events.
- Operations & Safety: Prioritize safety; review cameras for coaching; handle sick pets; oversee opening/closing; communicate objectives.
Experience & Skills
Seeking proven retail leaders with strong people management, operational expertise, and pet passion. Key skills include delegation, conflict resolution, financial acumen, and fostering engagement. Experience in high-volume retail, HR functions, and customer service excellence required.
