Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) oversees all store operations, including safety for people and pets, pet parent experiences, financial performance, and HR functions. Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture with engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions; ensure safety and health of pets; conduct monthly walks and camera reviews; maintain compliance with policies; manage inventory and events.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals; analyze performance; communicate objectives; respond to changing priorities; partner on community initiatives like adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, strong leadership in high-volume environments, pet industry knowledge, and skills in financial oversight, team motivation, and customer service.
