Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, drive results, and foster an exceptional environment while ensuring compliance and pet well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; manage scheduling, reviews, and engagement via open-door culture and Voice of Associate feedback.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, conduct Core and Services Walks, monitor cameras, and maintain inventory standards.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance, optimize processes, and partner on community events like adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, strong leadership in high-volume settings, pet industry knowledge, and skills in P&L management, team motivation, and customer service. Flexibility for varied shifts and a passion for pets are essential.
