Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion superior service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and foster an open-door culture using Voice of Associate feedback.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; manage pet parent interactions, conduct Core and Services Walks, monitor cameras, and handle pet emergencies.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze performance, optimize inventory, communicate objectives, and lead events with community partners.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, and operations. Key skills include financial acumen, conflict resolution, process improvement, and passion for pets. Flexibility for varied shifts is essential.
