Role Overview

The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture and address grievances.
• Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; manage pet parent interactions; lead store standards, compliance, and monthly walks; prioritize safety and inventory; review cameras for coaching.
• Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance; communicate objectives; partner on events and adoptions.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and motivation, expertise in operations and customer service, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Flexibility for varied schedules is essential, along with problem-solving and compliance skills.
