Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, develop associates, conduct reviews, and foster engagement through open-door culture and recognition.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; deliver outstanding pet parent service; manage complaints and events.
- Operations & Compliance: Conduct safety walks, monitor inventory and cameras, enforce policies, and respond to pet health issues.
- Financial & Strategic: Communicate objectives, optimize processes, and drive results through effective delegation and adaptation.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, strong leadership, customer service passion, financial savvy, and pet care knowledge. Key skills include team building, conflict resolution, inventory management, and operational excellence. Experience in pet retail is a plus.

- Drive exceptional pet parent service and resolve escalated concerns
- Ensure compliance with policies, conduct safety walks, and manage inventory levels
- Foster associate engagement through recognition, training, and open communication
- Collaborate on events, community partnerships, and store standards maintenance
- Monitor store cameras, address risks, and handle pet health emergencies
