Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster open communication and high engagement.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent and associate interactions; ensure pet safety and health; conduct monthly walks; manage inventory and compliance; review cameras for safety coaching.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance metrics; communicate objectives; partner on events and community initiatives like adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, proven leadership in team building and sales growth, strong customer service skills, and a genuine love for pets. Key competencies include financial acumen, operational efficiency, conflict resolution, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Experience with HR functions, inventory systems, and safety protocols is essential.
