Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted outcomes, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding our vision, mission, values, and strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture with engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; deliver outstanding customer service; conduct monthly walks and camera reviews; manage inventory and compliance; handle openings/closings and escalations.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze metrics and root causes; communicate objectives; partner on events and improvements.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 5+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, financial oversight, and customer service. Key skills include delegation, conflict resolution, inventory management, and fostering engagement. Passion for pets and availability for flexible shifts required. Experience in pet retail a plus.
