Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted results, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture through feedback and recognition.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, conduct monthly walks, manage inventory, and prioritize a safe, compliant environment.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance, communicate objectives, and collaborate on events like adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in retail management, expertise in team leadership, customer service, financial oversight, and pet retail operations. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, data-driven decision-making, and fostering high engagement in dynamic environments.
