Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted results, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; foster open communication and high engagement through recognition and feedback tools.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, conduct monthly walks for compliance, manage inventory, and prioritize a safe, welcoming environment.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance metrics, collaborate on events, and review security footage for coaching.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and motivation, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pets.
