Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, drive results, and build an engaging environment while ensuring compliance and exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, and develop associates; conduct reviews, foster open communication, and boost engagement through recognition.
- Store Experience: Oversee pet safety and health, deliver outstanding customer service, manage escalations, conduct safety walks, monitor cameras, and ensure inventory availability.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance metrics, optimize processes, and partner on community events like adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, strong leadership to empower teams, customer-centric mindset, financial acumen, and passion for pets.
