Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, and develop associates; facilitate reviews, recognition, and succession planning; build an open-door culture with feedback tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; lead pet parent interactions, events, and compliance with policies; conduct walks and camera reviews.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze metrics, manage inventory, and cascade objectives to the team.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, proven team leadership, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and pet industry knowledge. Key skills include delegation, problem-solving, associate engagement, operational efficiency, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

- Proficiency in scheduling, inventory tools, and HR functions (experience)
Responsibilities
- Oversee all store operations including safety, customer experience, and financial performance

- Ensure exceptional pet parent service and resolve escalated concerns
- Conduct store walks, monitor cameras, and enforce policies/procedures
