Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, strategies, and values while delivering exceptional service and efficient execution to achieve targeted business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and foster an open-door culture with high engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for associates, pets, and customers; manage pet parent interactions, conduct monthly walks, and maintain compliance with policies.
- Business Management: Drive profitability, analyze performance, optimize inventory, and execute corporate strategies through effective delegation and team empowerment.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and customer service, financial acumen, and a passion for pets. Key skills include conflict resolution, operational execution, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Flexible availability is essential.
