Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture and strategies, champion exceptional service, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and manage team performance; build open-door culture; create schedules; facilitate development, reviews, and recognition.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent and associate experiences; ensure pet safety; resolve concerns; conduct Core and Services Walks; prioritize safety and compliance.
- Operations & Financials: Manage inventory, review cameras for safety, communicate objectives, and take action on pet health issues; partner on events and community initiatives.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, strong leadership in high-volume environments, pet industry knowledge, and skills in team building, customer service, financial oversight, and operational efficiency. Passion for pets and ability to thrive in a dynamic store setting required.
