Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive oversight of store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, achieve key targets, and deliver exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; manage schedules, reviews, and engagement; foster an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; lead customer service across channels; conduct safety walks and maintain standards.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability; analyze metrics and inventory; partner on events and adoption initiatives.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership, P&L knowledge, and pet passion. Key skills include team motivation, operational efficiency, customer focus, and adaptability to dynamic retail environments. Flexible availability is essential.
