Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, achieve key results, and deliver exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, values, and strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture using Voice of Associate feedback.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; manage customer interactions; conduct Core and Services Walks; prioritize safety via camera reviews and policy compliance.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance; maintain inventory; lead events and community partnerships.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership in high-volume environments, pet care knowledge, and skills in financial oversight, team motivation, and process improvement. Proficiency in delegation, conflict resolution, and data-driven decision-making is essential.
