Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted outcomes, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Handle recruiting, hiring, coaching, scheduling, performance reviews, and fostering an open-door culture with associate engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, conduct monthly walks, manage inventory, and prioritize a safe environment.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance, communicate objectives, and collaborate on events like adoption partnerships.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership in team development, customer service expertise, and pet industry knowledge. Key skills include financial acumen, conflict resolution, process improvement, and adaptability to dynamic retail environments. Passion for pets and ability to inspire teams are essential.
