Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, develop associates, conduct reviews, and build an open-door culture using Voice of Associate feedback.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for associates, pets, and customers; lead pet parent interactions; conduct Core and Services Walks; manage inventory and camera reviews.
- Operational Excellence: Collaborate on events, maintain policy compliance, communicate objectives, and respond to changing priorities.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with retail management experience, strong team-building skills, customer service passion, financial savvy, and pet care knowledge. Must excel in delegation, conflict resolution, and fostering engagement in a fast-paced environment.

- Ensure compliance with policies, conduct safety walks & inventory management
- Foster associate engagement through recognition, training & open communication
- Collaborate on events, community partnerships & store standards maintenance
