Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted outcomes, deliver exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture using feedback tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for associates, pets, and customers; manage pet parent interactions, conduct safety walks, and oversee inventory compliance.
- Business Management: Analyze performance data, execute corporate strategies for profitability, review security footage for coaching, and lead store events with community partners.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, and P&L accountability. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, process improvement, and pet safety knowledge. Must thrive in dynamic environments with flexible scheduling.
