Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; facilitate reviews, recognition, and succession planning; address grievances and build open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, maintain standards, conduct monthly walks, manage inventory, review cameras for safety, and respond to concerns.
- Operations & Financials: Collaborate on events, communicate objectives, prioritize safety, and improve processes for efficient execution.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years retail management, strong team-building skills, customer service expertise, operational knowledge, and passion for pets. Must excel in delegation, financial oversight, compliance, and fostering engagement in a fast-paced environment.
