Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive oversight of store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while delivering exceptional service and achieving business goals in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; manage schedules, reviews, and engagement; foster an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; deliver outstanding customer service; conduct safety walks and camera reviews; partner on community events.
- Business Management: Drive profitability, analyze performance, optimize inventory, and execute corporate strategies.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in high-volume settings, pet industry knowledge, and skills in financial oversight, team motivation, and operational excellence.
