Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion company culture, drive strategies for exceptional service, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture using associate feedback tools.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent and associate experiences, ensure pet safety, conduct monthly walks, monitor cameras, and maintain inventory compliance.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze metrics, communicate objectives, and partner on in-store events with adoption groups.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, strong leadership in high-volume environments, P&L accountability, and a genuine love for pets. Key skills include team motivation, customer service mastery, operational efficiency, and adaptability to dynamic retail demands. Experience with safety protocols and community engagement is a plus.
