Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while driving exceptional service and efficient execution.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, and develop associates; conduct reviews and foster engagement through recognition and feedback.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; manage pet parent interactions, compliance audits, inventory, and event partnerships.
- Business Management: Analyze performance, execute strategies for profitability, monitor cameras for safety, and handle pet health issues promptly.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 5+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, P&L accountability, and pet passion. Key skills include delegation, conflict resolution, process improvement, and adaptability to dynamic retail environments. Flexible availability required.
