Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, drive exceptional service, and ensure efficient daily execution while maintaining compliance and building a positive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, review, and develop associates; create schedules; foster engagement through recognition and feedback; handle grievances.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions; ensure pet safety; conduct monthly walks and camera reviews; manage inventory and events.
- Operational Excellence: Drive financial outcomes; enforce policies; prioritize safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to pet health issues.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years retail management, strong team-building skills, customer service expertise, financial savvy, and passion for pets. Must excel in delegation, conflict resolution, and adapting to dynamic environments. Experience in pet retail preferred.
