Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experience, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; foster open-door culture, deliver reviews, and boost engagement through recognition.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; handle concerns, conduct monthly walks, monitor compliance, and manage inventory.
- Business Management: Analyze performance, execute strategies for profitability, communicate objectives, and partner on events like adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, operations, and financials. Key skills include effective delegation, problem-solving, pet safety knowledge, and adaptability to dynamic retail environments. Passion for pets and flexible scheduling are essential.
