Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. Drive company culture, achieve key results, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; build open-door culture; manage scheduling, reviews, training, and succession planning.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; deliver outstanding pet parent service; maintain store standards, conduct monthly walks, prioritize safety, and manage inventory.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance metrics; communicate objectives; review cameras for safety and coaching.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, operations, and financial oversight. Passion for pets, strong decision-making, and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with flexible hours essential. Experience in pet retail a plus.
