Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture and strategies, champion exceptional service, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture and address grievances.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent and associate experiences; ensure pet safety; resolve concerns; maintain standards through monthly walks and camera reviews.
- Operations & Financials: Manage inventory, communicate objectives, prioritize safety, and collaborate on events and adoption partnerships.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership, customer service expertise, financial savvy, and passion for pets. Key skills include team motivation, operational efficiency, compliance, and fostering engagement in a fast-paced environment.
