Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, recognition, and succession planning; address grievances and build open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; resolve concerns; lead events and community partnerships; maintain policy compliance via monthly walks.
- Operations & Financials: Manage inventory, communicate objectives, review cameras for safety, and take immediate action on pet health issues; collaborate for efficient execution.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years retail management, strong team-building, customer service, and financial skills. Pet care knowledge, HR experience, and ability to thrive in dynamic environments essential. Must prioritize safety, empower teams, and deliver results.
