Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion service excellence, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; facilitate reviews, recognition, and succession planning; address grievances and boost engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; manage pet parent interactions; lead safety walks, camera reviews, and compliance; collaborate on events and maintain inventory standards.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze metrics, execute strategies, and optimize processes for continuous improvement.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, financial oversight, and pet retail operations. Key skills include effective delegation, communication, problem-solving, and fostering an open-door culture. Passion for pets and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment required.
