Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive results, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and foster an open-door culture using Voice of Associate feedback.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, conduct Core and Services Walks, manage inventory, and review cameras for compliance.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability, analyze performance, communicate objectives, and partner on events with adoption groups.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong leadership abilities, and passion for pets. Key skills include team motivation, operational efficiency, customer service, financial acumen, and adaptability to a dynamic environment. Experience with safety protocols and inventory tools is essential.
