Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Handle recruiting, hiring, coaching, performance reviews, scheduling, and fostering an open-door culture with associate feedback and development.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for associates, pets, and customers; manage pet parent interactions, store standards, inventory, and events; conduct safety walks and camera reviews.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze performance, optimize processes, and cascade business objectives to the team.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in high-volume environments, proficiency in team building and financial oversight, passion for pet care, and skills in customer service, operations, and problem-solving. Flexibility for varied shifts is essential.
