Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) oversees all store operations, including safety, pet parent experiences, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, drive results, and build an exceptional environment in Buena Park.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, and develop associates; conduct reviews and foster engagement through open-door culture and recognition.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy pets and outstanding service; manage escalations, conduct safety walks, monitor cameras, and maintain inventory/compliance.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability, analyze performance, optimize processes, and partner on community events/adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have 2+ years in retail management, strong leadership, customer service passion, financial acumen, and pet industry knowledge. Key skills include team building, problem-solving, scheduling, and adaptability to dynamic retail environments. Flexible availability required.
