Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted outcomes, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and foster an open-door culture with recognition and feedback.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, maintain store standards, conduct safety walks, and manage inventory/compliance.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance, communicate objectives, and optimize processes for efficiency.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and customer service, financial acumen, and a passion for pets. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, operational execution, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Flexible scheduling is essential.
