Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion exceptional service, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, interview, hire, coach, and manage associates; build an open-door culture; create schedules; facilitate development, reviews, and recognition.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent and associate experiences; ensure pet safety; handle concerns; maintain standards; conduct walks; prioritize safety and inventory.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance; communicate objectives; review cameras for accountability.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and pet industry knowledge. Key skills include team building, operational efficiency, conflict resolution, and bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish).
