Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture and strategies, champion exceptional service, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, recognition, and succession planning; build an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, maintain store standards, conduct safety walks, manage inventory, and review cameras for compliance.
- Operational Excellence: Collaborate on events, communicate objectives, prioritize safety, and respond to pet health issues immediately.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Must excel in delegation, conflict resolution, and driving results in a fast-paced environment.

- Ensure compliance with policies, conduct safety walks, and maintain inventory levels
- Foster company culture through associate engagement, recognition, and development
- Manage store scheduling, events, and community partnerships
- Monitor store cameras, address risks, and ensure pet health & welfare
