Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, develop associates, conduct reviews, and foster engagement through recognition and open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for associates, pets, and customers; resolve concerns; maintain standards via monthly walks and camera reviews.
- Operations & Financials: Manage inventory, communicate objectives, evaluate processes, and partner on events for optimal outcomes.
Experience & Skills
Seeking proven leaders with 3+ years retail management, strong team-building, customer service, and operational skills. Pet care knowledge, financial acumen, and ability to thrive in dynamic environments essential. You'll delegate effectively, adapt to change, and inspire teams to exceed goals.

- Ensure exceptional pet parent service and resolve escalated concerns
- Manage inventory, conduct safety walks, and maintain policy compliance
- Drive sales targets and operational efficiency through strategic execution
- Partner on community events and adoption initiatives
