Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial outcomes, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture and strategies, delivering exceptional service while achieving targeted results in our Calgary, Alberta location.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; lead pet parent interactions; conduct Core and Services Walks; manage inventory and compliance.
- Operational Excellence: Drive financial goals; review cameras for safety; partner on events and adoptions; respond to pet health issues immediately.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, pet care knowledge, and financial savvy. Excel in customer service, conflict resolution, and fostering engagement in fast-paced settings.
